Seattle Gold Grills has repaired, resized and restored fine jewelry since 1976. Most repair work is done in-house at our Renton workshop by the same jewelers who set stones for our custom pieces, so your ring, chain or bracelet never leaves the family. Bring it in by appointment, or ship it to us with insured, tracked shipping from anywhere in the country.

Ring sizing

We size gold, platinum and sterling silver bands up or down, including wedding bands, statement rings and stone-set pieces. Before sizing a ring with stones, we check every prong and setting so nothing loosens in the process, and we re-polish the band so it looks the way it did when it was new.

Chain and clasp repair

Broken links, stretched chains and snapped clasps are re-soldered and re-linked — rope, Cuban, Franco, Figaro, herringbone, box and curb chains in gold and silver — and worn lobster, spring-ring and box clasps are replaced with matching findings. A kinked herringbone or a pulled jump ring is usually a quick fix that saves a piece worth wearing for decades.

Stone setting and prong repair

Loose, tilted or missing stones are re-set and secured, and worn prongs are re-tipped before they let a stone fall out. If a stone is lost, bring a replacement if you have one, or we can source cubic zirconia, moissanite or natural diamonds to match the piece.

Polishing and refinishing

Scratches, dull patches and years of wear come out with professional refinishing, ultrasonic cleaning and steam. We restore the original finish — high polish, satin or brushed — on gold, platinum and silver jewelry of every kind.

Rhodium plating

White gold rings and chains fade to a warm yellow over years of wear. Re-plating with rhodium brings back the bright, mirror-white finish and adds a protective layer against scratches and tarnish.

Gold re-dips and re-plating

Yes — we re-dip and re-plate grillz that Seattle Gold Grills made. Because the price depends on your set's metal, size and condition, our jeweler evaluates the piece first and quotes the re-dip at that appointment — we don't quote re-dips by phone or text.

Made by another shop? We don't service or re-dip outside work. Instead, we can remake you a new set, and the trade-in value of your old grill is credited toward the new order.

Turnaround and getting a quote

Polishing, clasp replacements and small solder repairs are often finished within a few days. Sizing, stone setting and restoration work is typically about a week; if your piece needs a matched stone or extensive rebuilding we confirm timing when we inspect it. Every repair starts with a clear quote before any work begins.
