Engagement ring style guide

Explore engagement ring styles

Compare classic, modern, vintage-inspired, and coordinated ring designs before you build. Every style can be personalized with your preferred center-stone shape, natural diamond, lab diamond, or moissanite, and a choice of gold or platinum.

01 · Classic

Solitaire engagement rings

A single center stone keeps the focus on cut, shape, and proportion. Solitaires pair easily with straight, curved, or contoured wedding bands.

02 · More sparkle

Halo engagement rings

A border of smaller stones frames the center and creates a brighter, larger-looking face-up appearance. Choose a matching or contrasting halo shape.

03 · Detail from the side

Hidden halo engagement rings

A discreet row of accent stones sits below the center stone. From above the ring reads clean; from the side it reveals extra sparkle.

04 · Symbolic

Three-stone engagement rings

Two side stones support the center for a balanced, substantial look. Mix shapes or keep all three stones coordinated for a more traditional design.

05 · Detailed shoulders

Side-stone engagement rings

Accent diamonds lead the eye toward the center stone without forming a full halo. Tapered baguettes, pears, rounds, and custom accents can change the entire profile.

06 · Continuous sparkle

Pavé engagement rings

Small diamonds are set closely across the band with minimal visible metal. Pavé can be delicate and refined or extended farther down the shank for more brilliance.

07 · Smooth profile

Channel-set engagement rings

Accent stones sit between polished metal walls for a clean, protected finish. This style works especially well for geometric and contemporary rings.

08 · Elevated center

Cathedral engagement rings

Graceful arches rise from the band to support the center setting. The lifted profile adds structure and makes room for refined side details.

09 · Modern protection

Bezel-set engagement rings

A rim of precious metal surrounds all or part of the center stone. Bezel settings offer a sleek outline and fewer exposed edges than traditional prongs.

10 · Open architecture

Split-shank engagement rings

The band divides as it approaches the center, creating negative space and a wider visual frame. Add pavé, polished metal, or mixed textures.

11 · Flowing lines

Twist and bypass engagement rings

Curving bands sweep around or past the center stone for movement and asymmetry. The design can stay minimal or incorporate diamond-set strands.

12 · Old-world detail

Vintage-inspired engagement rings

Milgrain, engraving, filigree, floral motifs, and geometric details reference Art Deco, Edwardian, and heirloom jewelry without requiring an antique ring.

13 · Distinctive composition

Cluster engagement rings

Multiple stones form one larger visual composition around a focal gem. Cluster layouts can feel floral, celestial, asymmetrical, or traditionally ornate.

14 · Modern orientation

East-west engagement rings

An elongated center stone is turned horizontally across the finger. Oval, emerald, marquise, radiant, and pear shapes take on a fresh, low-profile character.

15 · Mixed metal

Two-tone engagement rings

Combine yellow, white, or rose gold with another metal color for contrast. A white-metal head can emphasize the stone while a warm band adds color.

16 · Coordinated pair

Bridal-set engagement rings

An engagement ring and matching wedding band are designed to sit together. Coordinated contours reduce gaps and keep shared details visually aligned.

17 · Three-ring suite

Trio engagement ring sets

A coordinated trio includes an engagement ring, a matching wedding band, and a companion band. It is a practical starting point for couples who want one cohesive set.
